it was thomas hoepker, the famous magnum photographer, who once said “you take one, maybe two pictures a year”. this is my picture 2021. still some kind of lockdown, i am heading to my beloved swabian jura, trying to write my book, but then i went out because the weather turned bad in june to take pictures for my book. love the light.

driving up all the way from stuttgart to the lofoten islands in wintertime. just fantastic.

my three pictures of the temppeliaukio church in helsinki won a prize in an architectural photography contest about the architecture of this wonderful rock church.

another personal work that belongs to the genre of the new topographic movement in which i have been photographing now for about two decades.

i took the photos of a construction site in the city center of stuttgart for the annual report of stinag ag designed by werbung etc.

i love those misty days in the swabian jura.

it was thomas hoepker, the famous magnum photographer, who once said “you take one, maybe two pictures a year”. this is my picture 2018. i took it in my hometown stuttgart on an ordinary day in june. it shows how poor stuttgart, one of the richest cities in germany, everyday is.

my series “joyful architecture” is highly recommended at the “european architectural photography prize 2019”

in good and bad wheather conditions i documented an excavation project of the university of basel in francavilla marittima. my pictures will be shown in an exhibition next year in basel.
