being back in berlin for a few days, since so many years, i finally managed to visit the buchstaben museum which unfortunately closes in a few months.

the posters for the wonderful exhibition about a very important issue belonging post migrant places in my hometown stuttgart at württembergischer kuntsverein.

it was thomas hoepker, who unfortunately died in 2024, the famous magnum photographer, who once said “you take one, maybe two pictures a year”. this is my picture 2024. this picture was taken in january 2024 in reutlingen and shows the major problem germany is currently facing. the decline of the wirtschaftswunderland, illustrated here by the example of kaufhof. unfortunately, most of the republic believes that economic growth is the only way forward and fails to understand that some things simply no longer work. but what could work would be to focus on less, but better.

before demolition, i documented the 70-year-old vorwerk administration building in order to preserve it for posterity

i had the chance to accompany a campaign of the heidelberg centre for cultural heritage in trier at the roman bath barbara thermen.

this broken glasshouse near stuttgart in the swabian jura is rotting since years and becomes more and more an apocalyptic scene.

this is just wonderful! the rock carvings near brodalen from the bronze age.

for the “institut für ur- und frühgeschichte und archäologie des mittelalters der eberhard karls universität schloß hohentübingen” i photographed hundreds of archaeological finds in their lovely photostudio. from ceramics to clay pipes, from stone artefacts to faiences, from glas pearls to iron finds and so on…

my three pictures of the temppeliaukio church in helsinki won a prize in an architectural photography contest about the architecture of this wonderful rock church.

one of the most beautiful and desirable places in stuttgart, the villa berg, is finally being revived by atelier brückner after decades of slumber.
