hidden goodness 2026

i love these color dots!

it was thomas hoepker, who unfortunately died in 2024, the famous magnum photographer, who once said “you take one, maybe two pictures a year”. this is my picture 2024. this picture was taken in january 2024 in reutlingen and shows the major problem germany is currently facing. the decline of the wirtschaftswunderland, illustrated here by the example of kaufhof. unfortunately, most of the republic believes that economic growth is the only way forward and fails to understand that some things simply no longer work. but what could work would be to focus on less, but better.

before demolition, i documented the 70-year-old vorwerk administration building in order to preserve it for posterity

let’s play 2025

visiting the old republic by the river rhine between bonn and bad godesberg

the opening of my solo exhibition at the vhs photogalerie in stuttgart is on the 26th september 2024 at 7pm in the robert bosch saal, rotebühlplatz 28 in 70173 stuttgart. the exhibition runs until the 17th of november 2024.

i had the chance to accompany a campaign of the heidelberg centre for cultural heritage in trier at the roman bath barbara thermen.

transformation is the topic of this years foto festival fotosommer stuttgart and i showed in our pre-exhibition of the fotosommer team the second life of a digital camera as a doorstepper. more serious pictures i showed in two other exhibitions.

since more than 30 years i am working with technical cameras and now i became an arca-swiss ambassador. here is my arca-swiss universalis with a 800 mm lens and the fuji gfx-r out in the field in my beloved swabian jura taking landscape photos

driving from kaunertal to innsbruck coming along kühtai. very interesting.

it was thomas hoepker, the famous magnum photographer, who once said “you take one, maybe two pictures a year”. this is my picture 2023. i visited a very good and old friend in vilanova i la geltru in march and had a lot of time to explore this little city with my camera. the carousel in the blue hour was such a lovely situation i really enjoyed to came along.

the donaumoos between augsburg and ingolstadt is a very interesting region i haven’t been to before. i travelled there for the special priority project “fluvial anthroposphere” to take pictures of the work of several scientists. a little bit murky in february.

plus 2024
