together with merz akademie, i photographed the images of the art project solid transitions in the unfinished halls of the stuttgart train station. for a few days at the beginning of january 2023, a total of 14 artistic positions were exhibited there. here you can see the works of frauke schlitz, erik sturm, anima ona and kestas.

for the “institut für ur- und frühgeschichte und archäologie des mittelalters der eberhard karls universität schloß hohentübingen” i photographed hundreds of archaeological finds in their lovely photostudio. from ceramics to clay pipes, from stone artefacts to faiences, from glas pearls to iron finds and so on…

it was thomas hoepker, the famous magnum photographer, who once said “you take one, maybe two pictures a year”. this is my picture 2021. still some kind of lockdown, i am heading to my beloved swabian jura, trying to write my book, but then i went out because the weather turned bad in june to take pictures for my book. love the light.

one of the most beautiful and desirable places in stuttgart, the villa berg, is finally being revived by atelier brückner after decades of slumber.

another personal work that belongs to the genre of the new topographic movement in which i have been photographing now for about two decades.

i took the photos of a construction site in the city center of stuttgart for the annual report of stinag ag designed by werbung etc.

it was very sad to hear that the fantastic brazilian dancer ismael ivo died of covid 19. i took these pictures at the stuttgarter theaterhaus in 2006 at the play “apocalypse”.
